What I have here is an iconic piece of mountain biking history. These bikes ushered in a new era of style and performance to the mountain biking scene. These bikes were produced during the hey-day of the NORBA series and the growing popularity of mountain biking as a national spectator sport. I bought this bike new in 1998 when I was living in Wisconsin and racing in the WORS series. I raced for a couple seasons and it has since lived a comfortable life, mostly in my garage.... (read more) In 2001 I purchased a Santa Cruz Superlight, so the Homegrown didn't see much trail time after that. I brought it with me when we moved to Bozeman 4 years ago, but haven't used it except for commuting and running a few errands around town. Overall, the bike is in great shape seeing that it is 15 years old, and does not currently need any service. I worked at a local bike shop for about a year and during that time I had the bike gone over, cleaned and serviced. Everything is in working order.Frame
